Xiaomi is one of the largest manufacturers of smartphones globally. Recently there was a strong buzz that MIUI 14 will be the last MIUI version. Yes, MIUI will be replaced by Xiaomi HyperOS.

On October 17, 2023 (IST) Xiaomi Founder and CEO Lei Jun confirmed that Xiaomi is launching a new Operating System called Xiaomi HyperOS which is set to make a debut with the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Series.

Lei Jun said that it was an emotional goodbye to MIUI and Thanked everyone who believed in and supported MIUI all these years. He further said that MIUI will always remain in our memories.

MIUI was the first product released from Xiaomi. Now the all-new Xiaomi HyperOS will replace the MIUI globally.

Will Xiaomi HyperOS Launch Globally?

Yes, Xiaomi HyperOS will be launched globally. Alvin, the Vice-President of Xiaomi just confirmed that Xiaomi HyperOS will go global. He confirmed that it will be rolled out throughout 2024.

What is Xiaomi HyperOS?

Xiaomi HyperOS is an Operating System that is based on the integration of Android and Xiaomi’s Self-developed Vela System. It is a completely new architecture and public base for millions of IoT devices.

Nearly 5,000 Engineers have worked on the development of HyperOS (as per the reports). It is also reported that the development started way back in the year 2017.

The main aim of developing this new OS is to make a complete loop of Xiaomi’s huge ecosystem. In short, it will serve an important role in building a reliable ecosystem for all Xiaomi Products Globally.

What Features Can We Expect in Xiaomi HyperOS?

Xiaomi has not yet officially released any details about their upcoming OS. These features are just based on the rumours and speculations that are circulating in the Tech Community.

  • New Design: HyperOS is expected to come up with a more modern and minimalist design than MIUI.
  •  Improved Performance: HyperOS is said to be more lightweight and efficient than MIUI.
  •  Enhanced Security: Xiaomi HyperOS is expected to be more secure than MIUI.

Overall, it is reported that Xiaomi’s all-new HyperOS will be completely refreshed with no resemblance to MIUI. This HyperOS will first launch in China with Xiaomi 14 Series then gradually go Globally. Xiaomi 14 series will be the first phone that comes pre-installed with HyperOS.
